With enrolment of students, the school established an Examination and Graduate office, to plan, and coordinatee examinations and graduate studies of the school.
The Examinations Office oversees the integrity of all examinations in the School. The Office also relates with the Examination office of the university.
The Unit exhibits honesty in all examination processes in accordance with the University’s and SoMS’ Core Values. The examinations officer is Dr. Thomas Anyorigiya, a senior lecturer who also doubles as the graduate coordinator of the SoMS. As the Graduate Programmes’ Coordinators, he serves as the primary point of contact for students at the programme level.
The graduate coordinator works directly with the dean, HoDs, supervisors, faculty, administrators, and students to ensure that graduate programs comply with the CKT-UTAS’ norms.

Responsibilities of the examinations’ officer include:
- Provision of logistics and security for examinations
- Printing, safekeeping and safeguarding of all examination questions
- Handling all matters relating internal and external examiners
- Maintenance of examination attendance registers
- Submission of scripts to markers.
- Processing of returned marked scripts
- Provision of examination related services
- Scheduling and coordinating for examination invigilation
- Registration and Time-tabling
- Preparation of Academic Calendar
- Registrations for examinations and re-sits for all courses
- Coordination and preparation of Teaching and Examination scheduling/time-tabling
- Allocation of lecture theatres/rooms and examination centres
- Secretaryship of relevant Committees/Boards (eg, Time-Table Committee)
Responsibilities of the graduate coordinator:
- Act as liaisons between departments and Graduate Studies in the admission, tracking, and graduation of students to enhance graduate culture within the departments
- Advocate for graduate students in the departments’ decisions and policies
- Coordinate department-level graduate admission committees and procedures
- Assure that students are advised with regard to programme requirements, scheduling of courses, internships, experiences, etc.
- Coordinate a regular faculty review of each student’s progress toward the degree
- Assure that student theses, projects, performances, and dissertations meet university requirements and represent high-quality scholarly and creative work
- Registration of final theses.
Office location
The school examinations/graduates’ office located in the administration block of the SoMS in the Navrongo campus of CKT-UTAS.
The school exams officer also has a desk in the main university exams office located in the main campus of the university.
